The 21st edition of the MARUG Marketing Conference will introduce you to the world of experiences created by brands, products and services. Experience Marketing: Welcome to my world!

Since the late 90s Experience Marketing is part of many marketing strategies around the world. Main purpose of Experience Marketing is to involve the consumer personally and mentally by creating memorable experiences.  Traditional decision criteria, such as the availability, price and quality of products or services are no longer sufficient due to the growing amount of substitute products and services

The modern customer decides by means of symbolic values, such as status, appreciation, attention, imagination and personal development. Experience Marketing enables a brand to respond to these symbolic values and makes an attempt to involve the customer in a personal and memorable way. Now more than ever the customer plays a central role. Everything around that customer is created to fit his or her individual desires and needs. Experience marketing increases customer loyalty and profitability by fulfilling the rational as well as the emotional desires of consumers.

During the conference  we will try to answer the central question:

To what extent is it possible to apply the lessons already learned from Experience Marketing within the area of the customer experience and what kind of role can this approach play in future marketing strategies?
